DMR – Digital Mobile Radio

The following DMR resources have been developed for members of the ORARC in Port Macquarie but are freely available for anyone who finds them useful.

The VK2RCN DMR repeater for Port Macquarie is located at Telegraph Point. The frequency is 438.425 MHz (-5MHz TX offset).


RETEVIS RT3S DMR Handheld Radio

The Retevis RT3S is a DMR/FM Dual Band handheld radio for Amateur DMR use. It has become a very popular handheld radio for DMR use and has an excellent reputation. It is also priced very well making it a great choice as your first DMR radio.

The RT3S is also distributed as the TYT MD-UV380.

OPENGD77

OpenGD77 is an alternative open source radio firmware for the Retevis RT3S and TYT MD-UV380 (and several other models).

Kydera CDR300/Retevis RT73 Mobile Radio

The Kydera CDR300UV is a DMR/FM dual band radio designed for Amateur use. The radio is also distributed as the Retevis RT73.

The Kydera CDR300UV and the Retevis RT73 are identical radios and Retevis/Ailunce have been supporting both models with firmware and CPS updates since early 2021.
